Clothing with Shipibo Art

A year or 2 ago there was a gal from Canada selling garments with Shipibo embroidery on them. I got a piece from her, but she never made anymore stuff. I also heard of a woman that works with A. Grey that sells clothing, too. This summer there was a couple selling in the W. Coast clothing with Shipibo art on them. Any leads to any them. I failed to get their name or contact info...

Hello Earth. Take a moment and check in with your body and energy right now at this present moment. What sensations are you feeling? I’m sure many people are recovering from the holiday and celebration of freedom. During this celebration its more than just for the country we live in but freedom from all that block us from living our highest potential. Its the freedom to liberate oneself and elevate. Again take a moment and sip in a few deep breathes and see what is going on in that complex system of yours. Whatever it maybe sit with it and ask yourself, am I taking the steps necessary in order to remedy this situation? Think about what step on the journey with this situation are you on? Is it just the beginning or have you been working on this for a long time? Is this an easy short journey or a long in depth one? Whatever it maybe know that it is yours and we are here to live this life in all its facets. Know the truth that all is flux and someday through process, work and letting go it will be set free.

This week is just another step along our journey and to assist us with the energy of the week is Labradorite. Its visually an amazing stone that looks like that of something from another planet. When you hold up a piece of Labradorite in the light you can see its inner magic come alive. It shimmers in waves of blue, green, oranges and yellows. This shows us the power of the light for it brings out our inner wonder for all to see. Labradorite has many uses. Its the bringer of light. It helps to keep our energy field complete and free from others who try to deplete and project onto us. Legalize Hemp and Cannabis in California

Hi Family,

Right now there are two competing signature drives to put cannabis legalization initiatives on the ballot in California for November 2010.

One is found at www.taxcannabis2010.org

The other is found at www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org

Please look carefully at the text of both laws (the text of each is finalized at this point) and make up your own mind which one you support.

I am supporting www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org because this law will protect cannabis users from discrimination in healthcare, employment, and housing. It is a full legalization measure for hemp and cannabis which will restore full human rights to cannabis users and growers all across California.

I have two parts to my plan. The first part is to publicly post and distribute our "Call to Arms" in order to recruit volunteers. This document is available here-

The second part of the plan is to ask everyone who volunteers to make a pledge for how many signature they will collect in the next 30 days or so. 15-30 signatures is a good number. You can probably get that number from your family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors without having to solicit in public too much. This is an "out of the closet" movement. We will have to proudly advocate human rights for cannabis smokers in order to get support from legitimate people. I can supply stickers equivalent to each persons pledge number. These stickers can be used to generate interest and be given to people who sign the petition. Here is the sticker design-

We have 146 days in order to get the number of signatures that we need. Our petition is hot off the press on 9/11 and we are collecting the first signatures yesterday 9/12.

We are polling 56% public support for cannabis legalization in California, so this is an initiative which is not doomed. It's time has finally arrived. Now is the time to do this and to do it right. We may only get one chance. If a law which is not exactly what we want is implemented then we may lose our critical mass and our ability to set it right.

I know this sounds like science fiction or a conspiracy theory, but it's not. It is a complete reality and a huge danger to humanity. Please check out the following petition and sign it. As crazy as this may sound but mind control energy weapons is a reality. Millions of people are suffering from the mental abuse and torture of these weapons that are not openely talked about or known, or "declassified." The abuse is largely sexist and racist and targets people who are of certain ethnicities... primarily who are not white. Meta Gallery is pleased to present Anatomy of Being, new and old works by Alex Grey. In the artists first solo exhibition with the gallery, as well as the first exhibition of his work in Canada in over 20 years, the works exhibited represent a wide spectrum of the inner and outer worlds Grey depicts through his artworks during the years spanning 1999-2009. With a career going back over 3 decades, Alex Grey’s paintings represent a bold and courageous statement in contemporary art today. One where despite the collective struggle of humanity and the tremendous amounts of suffering occurring on a daily basis, good exists. And what Grey’s artwork offers is evidence - a tangible thing we can see and touch that in its silence is a potent reminder to be good, and to love.

In Anatomy of Being, Grey’s vision, what one New York Times critic referred to as “ … of a flawed but perfectable mankind” is dynamic in its expression, both in medium and subject. In Reading, a man and his daughter sit together, reading Blake’s famous poem Tiger, Tiger. As he speaks the words of the first line, their eyes meet on one point of the page. A golden flaming figure eight connects their hearts, a reminder of the infinite love a parent shares with their child. Young and Old similarly depicts the connection shared between an infant and parent in what may be a very ordinary, yet very sacred moment. These depictions of what appear to be somewhat commonplace interactions within the collective experience gently push us towards contemplating, is it possible that perhaps every moment could share this sacred quality? Executing these works in the aesthetic style he is perhaps best known for, translucent skin revealing the precise anatomical detailing of the human biology, from inner organs to muscle structure and the lymphatic system to the bodies subtle energetic fields, Grey’s depictions of various physical and meta-physical aspects of the human form are powerful messages to consider our similarities rather than our differences, and to see ourselves reflected in others.

Grey offers other insights into more formless realms of existence with his “Being” series. Four paintings completed over a three-year period, (’05-’07) each 2 x 2 ft panel depicts the toroidal flow of energy coursing through a somewhat mysterious yet familiar anthropomorphic expression of divinity as it mediates the life/death/rebirth cycle. The surface and contours of each “Being” differ in their attunement to aspects of particular wisdom traditions. In VajraBeing, the surface of the gently flowing forms comprise concentric rectangles. Within the centre of each lies a Vajra, a symbol in Tibetan Buddhism that represents the power of wisdom to penetrate evil and destroy ignorance.
As aesthetically diverse as these works are, a simple message of hope, truth and beauty emerge as themes throughout these powerful symbols of unity and love.

Alex Grey was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1953. He attended the Columbus College of Art and Design for two years (1971-73) and after dropping out to paint billboards for a year he enrolled at the Boston Museum School for one year to study with the conceptual artist Jay Jaroslav. It was there where he met his wife and collaborator of over 25 years, Allyson Grey. Their journey together as artists has resulted in Grey’s Sacred Mirror series. 21 paintings in total, they take the viewer on a journey through the physical, metaphysical and finally transcendent realms of existence. By depicting each state, the viewer is invited to see themselves as reflections of each other, and the divine. Inspiring a sense of profound connection and wonder, the series is the crux of the vision of The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, or CosM. A registered non profit 5013(c) organization, the Greys are dedicated to building permanent architecture inspired by the great sacred structures on earth and which would house the Sacred Mirrors as well as many of Alex’s most important works. The series was exhibited in their Chelsea, NY gallery from 2004 – 2009. They have recently moved to a 40 acre piece of land which will be the future home of CosM. In addition to his work to make his most inspired art available to the public, Grey has contributed artwork for the rock band TOOL, reaching millions with his work. His artwork over the past 30 years has been shown in many exhibitions worldwide, among them P.S.1 Contemporary Art Centre, Long Island, NY (1982) , Stux Gallery, NY, NY (1985) a mid-career retrospective at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art (1999), and Feature Inc, NY, NY (2001)

Anatomy of Being will be on view from June 26 to September 4, 2009. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 11-6 and Sunday from 12-5. The opening reception will be on Friday June 26 from 7-10pm. Chapel of Sacred Mirrors Buys Permanent Site

For Immediate Release: Chapel of Sacred Mirrors leaves NYC,
CoSM Sanctuary to open in Wappinger, NY mid-2009.

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors has been a sanctuary for contemplation and events encouraging the creative spirit in New York City since 2004. Hundreds of thousands of people have visited Alex and Allyson Grey’s living brochure; their vision of a permanent home, but the lease has ended. CoSM is pleased to announce the purchase of 40-acre former interfaith retreat campus, 65 miles up the Hudson River. It’s a 20-minute walk from the New Hamburg MetroNorth station or about an hour’s drive from NYC.

CoSM Sanctuary will offer spiritual gatherings; educational and cultural events emphasizing art as a spiritual practice. Visionary artists, musicians, dancers, scientists and teachers will share their wisdom here. Sun-filled galleries and libraries will provide meditative and contemplative space for the mind, body and soul. The chapel you have seen in sculpted model will be built for the artwork of Alex Grey and others.

CoSM Sanctuary has wonderful opportunities, but its upkeep was neglected for many years and its buildings have fallen into disrepair. With your help, this once-magnificent estate can be repurposed.

The brick carriage house will be converted to exhibit the Sacred Mirrors. A conference building will host art, meditation and yoga classes. A cabin in the woods will become a studio where artists-in-residence can paint and sculpt for the Chapel and beyond. The main house, a stunning wood-frame Victorian, needs extensive renovation to be weatherproof and energy-efficient. Simple, affordable overnight lodging and dining for up to 100 people will be available.

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors is a 501(c)(3) organization, supported solely by donations from the community, which are deductible on income and estate taxes. Financial contributions and skilled volunteers are needed. An estimated two million dollars is required for renovation. There are tens of thousands of fans of Alex Grey and the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, just ten dollars from each can add up quickly.

Sweatshirt went missing at the Entheocentric Salon

At the end of Entheocentric Salon this past Saturday I went to put on my sweatshirt & windbreaker, but the sweatshirt was gone (they were together). Needless to say, it was a COLD journey home. I looked everywhere, but it was gone. I'm guessing someone lifted it accidentally thinking it was their's or a friend's.

Please let me know if you have it and we can arrange to get it back to me. It holds some special meaning to me (it's also warm and cozy!).

I was lucky enough to see Alex Grey and his wife Allison at Coalessence Festival in Eureka Springs,Ar just recently! They did a few days of live painting during all of the musical acts. I got to meet him as well! Just being in hispresece was so amazing and warm. What a wonderful human being! Did anyone else get to see him there? The festival was really small but was in a beautiful spot. Old,old trees with grand energy. He just added to the ambiance. He spoke one evening for about an hour. He read from his book and showed his art on a screen while he spoke. He then put on the Tool video he did and the crown went wild! That video if you havent seen it, is so amazing and deeper than anything I have ever seen on screen. His art and writing came out ALIVE and to some of the greatest music(in my opinion) ever. I feel lucky to have ssen him in such an intimate level. My pics are not very good however, so if you have any pics of the event or him please let me know!

Temple of Transformation

On Friday, May 30th at 6pm, the Temple of Transformation will be opened to all. Three days later it will be returned to the formless by fire.

As I begin construction this weekend, I dedicate this Temple to an understanding that in each of us, there is unformed potential out of which our changing natures arise - cause and effect - thought feeds force to form. But more specifically, this Temple is dedicated to what it is not, to the pre-form, empty, formless 'nothing' out of which all rise and into which all return.

"Nameless Presence"
Works by Allyson Grey

On exhibit at MicroCoSM Gallery are the works of Allyson Grey, co-founder of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. For thirty years, Allyson has expressed in her paintings an essentialized world view consisting of three root components: chaos, order and secret writing. Chaos in these paintings symbolizes the material world where distinctions and entropy exist in all systems. Order in the work suggests the bliss realms one might experience in transcendental states of mystic unity sometimes called Nirvana, heaven, or the infinite Divine. Grey's secret writing is comprised of twenty unpronounceable letters, corresponding to the nameless presence, existent in all sacred writing, the spirit imbedded in communication that cannot be reduced to concepts. These oil paintings of tens of thousands of labor intensively painted spectral squares and a mystery language point to paradoxes of particles and waves, cells and systems, entropy and inter-reflectivity, meaning and the ineffable.

The inspiration for this focus came during a psychedelic journey in 1976. Allyson describes the event: "As I lay meditating next to Alex, I could see that our bodies had become infinite strands of light that were both a fountain and a drain, simultaneously individual and distinct, yet connected to all nodes in the network, blowing and sucking pure energy in an infinite field of confluent effluences. The energy was love, the unifying force. Witness to a revelation of the grid upon which the fabric of our material reality is draped, both of our art was forever changed." A description of the Hindu Jewel Net of Indra, relates strongly to this experience. In the abode of Indra, God of Space, a net stretches infinitely in all directions, and at every intersection of the net there is a jewel so highly polished and perfect that it reflects every other jewel in the net. A diptych oil painting entitled "Jewel Net of Indra", included in this exhibition, is Allyson's most reproduced work of art.

This exhibition at MicroCoSM Gallery includes paintings from the past ten years. Allyson's solo exhibitions in NYC include Stux Gallery, O.K. Harris Gallery, The Clocktower, with inclusion in exhibitions at White Columns, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The artist is credited with numerous large scale permanent public commissions and inclusion in dozens of corporations and private collections. An artist and writer all her life, Allyson received a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Tufts University. She has edited dozens of articles, journals and books, including those authored by Alex Grey, with whom she has been a constant companion and collaborator for over thirty years. Grey divides her energies between her own paintings, work for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, the active career of her husband, Alex Grey, and the successful acting career of their daughter, Zena Grey.

the spirit molecule - the movie

There is a documentary in production that will explore the history and modern use of DMT. The film is partnering up with Rick Strassman and the cottonwood research foundation.

I had a chance to meet the director and producer with about 8 other friends from around the country. For three days, we screened parts of the film in a lush and secluded setting and were really able to explore the spirit of the project. I am very excited about this! The interviews are absolutely amazing and include a lot of the patients from Rick Strassman's revolutionary work in New Mexico. Alex and Allyson Grey were also part of the list.

The next steps for the production team are to attend the 4th Annual Amazonian Shamanism Conference in Iquitos and to meet the deadline in September for the Sundance Film Festival.

i originally posted this yesterday to several forums and then had to rethink it to see what the genuine intent is..so here goes for anyone interested..

my point here is not only to praise Islam during a time of great trial, but also to raise awareness of some things which are occurring off of most people's radar

1) Iraq has been wrongfully invaded by those seeking money, oil, and further industrial power. Saddam was the darling of the Bush and Reagan administrations. Despite any problems or wrongdoings, the ancient land of Mesopotamia/Melchezedek/Babylon/Edin/Sumer has been raped and invaded in order to suck up it's oil fields.

2) Between 50,000 and 500,000 (according to John Hopkins/MIT- feel free to argue) Iraqi citizens are now dead in excess of any pre-invasion mortality rates... THE POINT IS THAT NOT ONE SHRED OF PROOF/EVIDENCE HAS LINKED AL-QUAIDA TO IRAQ OR SHOWN ANY WEAPONS ARMED/AIMED AT THE US, EVERY SHRED OF EVIDENCE SHOWS VAST UNTAPPED OIL RESERVES. Iraq was preemptively invaded and trounced upon in order to rape its oil fields based upon a falsified lie.

3) Islam is a religion of hope. It is a continuation of Melchezedek and the Abrahamic religions whose prophet Mohammed is continuation and augmentation to Yeshuah (Jesus).. the prophets of "The Book". It is based upon a hope that a Supreme Intelligence is indeed there to guide us and help us amidst the trials of life. It's ways and people are old.. older than the children of the man Israel...who were themselves the descendents of Abraham and Noah and the fields and cities of Sumer.

4) There is a secret history to Islam which spans continents and cultures, connected into the ancient pathways of Egypt, the Jews, Edin, Africa, the Annunaki, the Templars, Moors, etc... our very terms algebra, algorythm etc are Islamic/Arabic.. their astronomy of the Heavens laid the foundation for Renaissance Masonic Alchemists.... not to mention the Sufi's, dervishes, etc

5) There is an Astral Communications system in place on Earth which is both extra-terrestial and ultra-terrestrial in nature.. it is part of an evolving biosphere, neural-pineal-telethought linkages, and has a definite agenda within various brotherhoods and organizations... the evolution of "light code" based gene systems and "Sol" transplants.. This is part of larger cycles of time and is intimately related to the magnetosphere of the planet and sun and the alternating currents of pole shifts...

6) These memories are connected to the Kaaba, it's meteoritic "pole shift" reminder stone, and the predeluvian-"Atlantean" cycles of life on Ur-th (before the days of Nimrod and the capital of Ur)

7) There is a connection between various peoples of Africa, Islam, and an extra-terrestrial life-wave at work within the human genome, which, in recent history (10,000-80,000 years) was made manifest through physical contact/assistance programs. The South American continent was once what would now be considered an extraterrestrial capital linked into earlier life programs on Mars. This planet is still under direct surveillance. These systems may best be evidenced via:

Kucinich Speaks at Cosm for Alex's Birthday

Dennis Kucinich recently spoke for Alex Grey's birthday at Cosm. For those of who have not heard of Cosm,
It's a neat place localed in NYC, right by Penn Station. What is it, you ask? One of the most innovative and transformative places you'll find in the city. Alex Grey is a world famous artist, producing inspirational and original forms of art that depict both man and spirit, organic and divine nature as one. He has done album artwork for bands such as Nirvana and Tool.

That being said, it's remarkable that a presidential candidate not only acknowledges him, but is also friendly enough to speak on his behalf at Cosm. Kucinich is often the odd one out in the democratic candidates. You may recognize him due to the "controversy," risen out of him confirming to have seen a UFO. He joked about this during his speech, saying something like,

You know, he could have asked me anything else. Any important issue. Global warming? Terrorism? The crumbling US economy? The threat of our constitution being destroyed - but no. What did he ask? 'DID YOU SEE A UFO?'

The audience broke out in laughter. Indeed, what's more bizarre? The one who directs the questions, or the one who answers them? He answered yes, and you can see it here:

At any rate. As unimportant a question it was, it just goes to show the immature mentality of the media, quietly and subtly pushing out all that is questionable, alternative and thought provoking. Dennis continued by saying, "I question intelligent life in the White House."
Amen.

Alex Grey sat quietly and modestly to the side, listening in attentively for the speech. His artwork was set up all around, making the room resonate with a vibrant energy, hopefully elevating and inspiring everyone there to listen and connect.

Kucinich is one of the few folks who are not afraid to be different, not afraid to have their own path, and are quite open, willing and able to communicate with others authentically. Check out his site.

He's a vegan. He's seen a UFO. He has a plan for universal health care. The list goes on, and I encourage anybody interested to inform themselves. Especially for a candidate who barely gets the limelight, as it is blatantly wasted on celebrity candidates (Clinton and Obama) mudslinging each other into the primaries.

What are we looking for in a president? As a leader of a nation? Integrally speaking, don't we seek an individual who can talk to the varying levels and lines, states and traits that make up a nation? A president who is at least thinking at a worldcentric level. Someone who will not shine for himself in the spotlight, but serve as a beacon for transforming consciousness. During the speech, Kucinich often spoke of unity - not just theoretically, but literally - that we are all one. Art, he believed, was one medium to express this truth, and nations could not be transformed through war and fear, but communication and peace. Indeed, his campaign slogan is, "Strength through Peace."

On exhibit at MicroCoSM Gallery are Grey's major new paintings including “Holy Family,” and "Net of Being," a fifteen-foot long oil painting introduced to millions by the rock band TOOL. After years of labor, this epic work is on view along with drawings that led to its creation. Related to Grey's series of painted and sculpted "universal beings," begun in 1999, the "Net of Being" portrays an endless perspective of column-like four-faced Godheads. Each head is composed of a fiery grid of eyes and galaxies linked with similar heads in an endless mesh, implying a realm of boundless interconnectedness. A new topology of Being and infinite awareness is mapped by this omni-directional web. Grey states that this visionary realm was visited during an entheogenic (psychedelic) ayahuasca journey he ex-
perienced in 2002. Small sculptural details of the Net of Being are also on view. “Net of Being” was featured on the cover of TOOL’s recent “10,000 Days” album, and the CD package won a 2007 Grammy Award.

Also on exhibit are models of the future Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, architecture designed by Alex Grey. The
entryway pavilion on the ground level is a wheel of 12 Godhead columns similar to those portrayed in the
painting "Net of Being." In the space between the heads nestle smaller replicas of the large domed Chapel.
Smaller Godheads and Chapel shapes repeat fractally, reaching tiny proportions that harmonically relate
to the overall pattern of the building. From every point of view on the grounds of this domed circular struc-
ture, observers witness two profiles mirroring each other, created by the outline of the building and implying
two giant celestial faces. The message encoded in the building is, “When beings come together in Oneness,
they create sacred space.”

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, being designed to house a permanent collection of
Grey's paintings and sculpture, is itself a profoundly inspiring sculpture for a timeless body of artwork.
Best known for his paintings which “X-ray” multiple dimensions of reality, Alex Grey's visual meditations
on the nature of life and consciousness, have led to a world renowned career of exhibitions from the New Mu-
seum in NYC, to Tokyo, to Sao Paulo, a retrospective at Museum of Contemporary Arts San Diego, features
on Discovery Channel, Newsweek, Time, and album art for multi-platinum and Grammy award winning rock
bands such as Tool, Beastie Boys, and Nirvana. Because of his underground cult status in the psychedelic
world, his artwork is some of the most reproduced on sheets of blotter acid.

Alex Grey's art illuminates worlds of subtle energy and proposes new icons of trans-denominational spirituality. Along with his wife,

Full Moon at CoSM - Passing the Torch

For the last 3 and a half years, Mz. imani has facilitated the Drum and Dance at Chapel of Sacred Mirror's Full Moon Celebrations. She has chosen to step back to 4 times a year, because she has been called by the elders to study and her students to teach. Her other plans include music, writing, and spending more time with her husband as they move to Baltimore.

Kiana Love and I are stepping up to coordinate the team that will help to hold the logistic and energetic needs of the Full Moon Drum and Dance. We're looking for people who are familiar with the Full Moon Drum and Dance, and the spiritual traditions of this community. Please come early to help co-create the space, and/or maintain it through the night. We're also looking for enthusiastic drummers and dancers who can uphold the joyous rhythms and ecstatic movement that the Full Moon at CoSM has become known for.

this may be random, but can anyone help???

i have a question i am hoping someone out there has wondered before, so here it is...........if you follow the edges of the great pyramid (there are four) down the edge of the pyramid at an angle but then keep following the same line down into the earth until you hit a spot on the crust of the earth on the other side, where do you end up? there should be five corresponding places on the earth directly related the the great pyramid, 4 places that correspond with the diagonal edges and one place that corresponds with the middle or top of the pyramid as you follow it straight down through pyramid and through the earth till you hit the other side, if anyone can help i would much appreciate it! hopefully i was able to explain it good enough!

I have verified by downloading and breaking apart the gif frames that this image IS legit (as far as I can tell.. there are no hidden loop reverse properties on the image or anything..)

when I first saw it I would have sworn it was a fraud.. there's just no way it could spin that other way..

but then, voila! i looked at the shadow and the next thing I knew it flipped..

if you break it into frames you can see on frames 13/14 and 26 27 that the image could go either way... it's apparently a matter of mental momentum where the whole thing turns inside out on itself...

but better yet.. try THIS!

it's yogically called brain twirling...

feel a sphere within your brain (just a sensation of motion) spinning in either direction inside your head...

either with her motion or against it, and, i think, voila, you have found your left brain right brain spin switch..

On exhibit at MicroCoSM Gallery are Grey's major new paintings including “Holy Family,” and "Net of Being," a fifteen-foot long oil painting introduced to millions by the rock band TOOL. After years of labor, this epic work is on view along with drawings that led to its creation. Related to Grey's series of painted and sculpted "universal beings," begun in 1999, the "Net of Being" portrays an endless perspective of column-like four-faced Godheads. Each head is composed of a fiery grid of eyes and galaxies linked with similar heads in an endless mesh, implying a realm of boundless interconnectedness. A new topology of Being and infinite awareness is mapped by this omni-directional web. Grey states that this visionary realm was visited during an entheogenic (psychedelic) ayahuasca journey he ex-
perienced in 2002. Small sculptural details of the Net of Being are also on view. “Net of Being” was featured on the cover of TOOL’s recent “10,000 Days” album, and the CD package won a 2007 Grammy Award.

Also on exhibit are models of the future Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, architecture designed by Alex Grey. The
entryway pavilion on the ground level is a wheel of 12 Godhead columns similar to those portrayed in the
painting "Net of Being." In the space between the heads nestle smaller replicas of the large domed Chapel.
Smaller Godheads and Chapel shapes repeat fractally, reaching tiny proportions that harmonically relate
to the overall pattern of the building. From every point of view on the grounds of this domed circular struc-
ture, observers witness two profiles mirroring each other, created by the outline of the building and implying
two giant celestial faces. The message encoded in the building is, “When beings come together in Oneness,
they create sacred space.”

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, being designed to house a permanent collection of
Grey's paintings and sculpture, is itself a profoundly inspiring sculpture for a timeless body of artwork.
Best known for his paintings which “X-ray” multiple dimensions of reality, Alex Grey's visual meditations
on the nature of life and consciousness, have led to a world renowned career of exhibitions from the New Mu-
seum in NYC, to Tokyo, to Sao Paulo, a retrospective at Museum of Contemporary Arts San Diego, features
on Discovery Channel, Newsweek, Time, and album art for multi-platinum and Grammy award winning rock
bands such as Tool, Beastie Boys, and Nirvana. Because of his underground cult status in the psychedelic
world, his artwork is some of the most reproduced on sheets of blotter acid.

Alex Grey's art illuminates worlds of subtle energy and proposes new icons of trans-denominational spirituality. Along with his wife,
artist Allyson Grey, Alex co-founded the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, CoSM, located in Chelsea, open for three

Here at Sera Phi we are offering a beautiful space for evening workshops, lectures, and events geared towards healing and the progression of consciousness in our community. The space is roughly about 20ft by 40ft and is perfect to host evening events such as yoga classes, kirtan, meditation, spiritual and personal development courses.
