I got turned on to Alex through "Variable Star" and a friend here on Tribe. We're heading to NYC soon and it's on our list. How much time should we allow for a visit to CoSM? Given the subject matter, we don't want to rush.

Fri, December 21, 2007 - 10:35 AMThe gallery is not terribly large, by NY museum standards, but the art is very intense. For some, an hour would be plenty, for others, several hours. If you have a group, call ahead and see if someone might be available to lead a tour. -

If you're a big fan of his work you should plan on several hours as it's very easy to spend an hour or more per painting.
So, if you are likely to get sucked into the details of the work then you'll spend a half day easy. If not more.
